Announcement regarding the 2017 HOPS-SRC Border Studies Summer School, July 12-19, 2017 @ Sapporo, Japan
In the framework of the Hokkaido University Summer Institute 2017, the Slavic-Eurasian Research Center and Hokkaido University Public Policy School will host a summer school on border studies, the HOPS & SRC Border Studies Summer School in 2017, from July 12 to 19, 2017 at Hokkaido University in Sapporo. This summer school consists of a three-part program. Part 1 will focus on the border issues in North America and East Asia (July 12-14). Part 2 is a series of presentations at the international summer symposium at the Slavic Eurasian Research Center, which is to be co-hosted by the NIHU Area Studies Project for Northeast Asia, SRC Hokkaido University (July 13-14). The lectures in Part 3 will feature international relations and border issues in Northeast Asia (July 18-19). As for details, please click the poster!

At the Hokkaido University Museum there is a special booth completely dedicated to border studies where people can learn about border issues not only in Japan, but all around the world. This exhibition is organized to provide a unique opportunity to find out about lifestyle and history of border regions.
