For many years, Mr. Alexander Bukh has been involved in several research projects on the Northern Territories issue and Japan-Russia relations at the University of Tokyo and the University of Tsukuba; however, recently, he has been working on analysis of the Takeshima-Dokdo issue. Also, in 2015, he worked for Hokkaido University’s Slavic-Eurasian Research Center as a Visiting Professor. At this co-hosted UBRJ/NIHU seminar, he, along with UBRJ unit leader / Hokkaido University’s NIHU representative Akihiro Iwashita, will thoroughly discuss the contemporary Japan-Korea territorial dispute.
